Vice President, Chief Transformation Officer & Chief Digital Officer, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
Omkar Kulkarni is Vice President and Chief Transformation and Digital Officer at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, which also established a new Office of Transformation. Mr. Kulkarni was previously the hospital's chief innovation officer and chief digital transformation officer, having joined CHLA in 2018 from Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai. At CHLA, he helped oversee the enterprise wide telehealth rollout in 2020 and launch several digital initiatives. In his role, Omkar leads digital and operational transformation aiming to improve efficiency, patient access, employee engagement and the patient-family experience. The new transformation office will combine several CHLA teams: digital transformation, virtual care, operational transformation, KidsX, the CHLA Innovation Studio, and the FDA-funded Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics. Mr. Kulkarni already headed KidsX, an accelerator that has brought together more than 30 children's hospitals to develop 52 pediatric digital health startups.
